Cookies + Champagne + Community

Thursday, April 05 we celebrated our Ribbon Cutting with an Open House, Champagne, Cookies and good company!

We officially opened our doors January 15th 2018. It has been nothing short of amazing. I love how tight knit the community in Lake Forest is! Clients have been so supportive, connecting us with other partners in the community, referring their friends and showing TPU love in so many other ways. Almost 3 months later, we held our grand opening! The Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of commerce came and put on a ribbon cutting ceremony for us, that was followed by an open house and party in the studio. Clients, friends, and even som strangers all joined as we celebrated together.

We had cookies from KNOW foods and champagne. We also partnered with a company called We Are Lions. They curate art from disabled artists, put that on products that people use often, and allow the artists to become entrepreneurs with their art. They brought in some one of a kind leggings and displayed them on our equipment!

Katie Ford, from Flowers by Katie Ford dropped off the most beautiful flower arrangement, that was featured right by the door, and was the first thing attendees commented on.

Attendees received a gift bag with a branded TPU water bottle, snacks from Primal Kitchen, and referral cards.

Cameras were set up to get shots of clients and instructors on the equipment.

Finally, we had a raffle featuring prizes from Lululemon, Primal Kitchen, Lake Forest Juice, and Doterra Essential Oils.

Despite not having the sunniest of Spring days, we had a fantastic turn out! I am so humbled by all of the support from the community. I love the community that TPU is turning into and wouldn't want to be doing this with anyone else. I had someone ask me recently, why I chose to open up a busienss in Lake Forest, IL. I wanted to say why not? However, to those who don't know how amazing Lake Forest is, that answer isn't enough. The truth is, I loved working at the studio in Lake Bluff, IL when it was open. I loved my clients! I never had a client come through the door that I didn't thoroughly enjoy working with. I met some of the most kind and inspiring people in my time there. I loved how supportive and tight knit my clients were to each other and the community around them. They were down to earth and frankly so much fun to be around! I soon realized that most of my clients were in fact from Lake Forest. When I began looking at spaces to open up my own studio, Lake Forest was top on my list, for all of those reasons. I wanted a place filled with clients like I had in Lake Bluff. Filled with down to earth, loving, and life giving people. That is exactly what we are creating at TPU and I am so incredibly grateful to be apart of it!
